Regular meetings of the Board are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00pm in Viking Hall. Occasionally, circumstances necessitate this date and time be changed. Special and emergency meetings, workshops and public hearings are scheduled as needed and are posted the same as the regular meeting agendas. In addition, agendas are sent to the media in consideration of public interest and the sharing of information.

Three board positions will be up for election this year:

• Place #1 – Currently held by Board Secretary Laura Vincent
• Place #2 – Currently held by Board Member Jerrell Roque
• Place #3 – Currently held by Board Vice President David Baker

The deadline to file for a place on the May 8th ballot is Monday, March 8, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.
Deadline to file as a write-in candidate is March 15, 2010. While this is the first day of Spring Break, the Administration Office will be open from 1-5pm.
Application packets can be picked up at the LVISD Administration Office - 8039 Bar-K Ranch Road - M-F from 8:00am-4:00pm.

All school board positions are three-year terms and represent the entire school district.
The last day residents may register to vote in the upcoming election is Thursday, April 8, 2010.

Early voting for the board election begins on Monday, April 26 and runs through Tuesday, May 4. Early voting will be held at numerous early voting locations in Travis counties. You may vote early at a location within Travis county. Full-time, part-time and mobile early voting sites will be posted when confirmed Travis county.

Election day voting will be held from 7:00am–7:00pm on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Election day polling locations are as follows:
Precinct 371-Lago Vista High School (front office foyer)
Precinct 373-Rolling Hills Community Church (6201 Lohman Ford Road)
